Stretching

Stretching is one of those rare things that feels good and is really good for you.

  1. You should stretch right after every workout, make it part of your cool down.

  2. You should stretch to a comfortable tightness and no further.

  3. Don’t bounce.

  4. Hold each stretch for 15 seconds.  After the first 7 seconds of your stretch, see if you can comfortably pull the stretch just a little further.

  5. If you get a little sore after a work out, try going through your stretches to ease the soreness.

  6. Going through your stretches about an hour before bedtime will help you to sleep better.
